BREAKING NEWS ALERT
FBI RAIDS HOME OF JOE AND DENISE GIBBS
 
Finally some action has been taken.  Hopefully this is only the tip of the iceberg.  The City of Modesto received $25 million from the federal government and took $2.5 million to administer and supervisor the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.  SCAP’s cut of the $25 million was $8 million. 
Will the actions of the US Attorney General this morning lead to a full investigation of Modesto City Manager Greg Nyhoff.  The federal government gave $25 million to the City of Modesto not to SCAP.  The Modesto City Council in turn gave the money to SCAP.  We must know in detail what the city did with the other $17 million.  This is where the investigation must begin. 
Modesto Bee Editor Mark Vasche has been our community watchdog and yet he has stepped aside in any discussion of the NSP scandals because of the involvement of this son-in-law.
