IMAGINE

Emotions, like so many things, take the path of least resistance. And, although I can appreciate body art (tattoos) for the art form that it is, there has been a rise in imbedding ink in our bodies over the past 20 years. 
On the musical front~how many garage bands, or let's say-garbage can lid bands~have you seen or heard cropping up over the past 20 years. They, too, are increasing in number. 
If all you have is a garbage can lid to beat on to make music, then by all means do it!! However, must we have that be the ONLY means to make music?
What happened to holding an instrument in your hands, and learning the art of playing it to perfection?
I'll tell you what. Greed. Mediocrity. Corruption of the Human Spirit.
The internal corruption of America by destroying our youth from birth, straight through their 12 years in school, and into adulthood, by taking away all their creativity, is reaching astronomical proportions. 
My platform is the arts, but it goes much, much deeper than that. 
For us to have a strong America, we have to have a thinking America. A creative and innovative America. One that can, as John Lennon so eloquently sang, Imagine.
